Fiber Bragg Grating Filter

Fiber Bragg Grating Filter

Description and Application

1650nm fiber grating optical filter is a critical component in optical communication systems designed for detection purposes. Functionally, it acts as a band-pass filter, reflecting light within the range of 1643.5nm to 1656.5nm back with a reflectivity exceeding 99.5%, akin to total reflection, while allowing all other wavelengths to pass through unaffected. This device is particularly useful in separating communication signals (commonly in the C + L bands) from detection signals, thereby safeguarding the integrity of the communication signals by preventing interference from the detection light. Additionally, it facilitates the monitoring of reflected light at various points in the network. Fiber grating technology offers superior performance metrics compared to traditional coating methods across all relevant parameters.

Features

Environmental Immunity: The grating is integrated into the fiber itself, making it inherently resistant to environmental contaminants.

High Reliability: Offers enhanced durability and a longer operational lifespan compared to alternative solutions.

High Reflectivity: For the designated blockage bands, the reflectivity exceeds 99.5%, approaching complete reflection.

Precise Wavelength Control: The reflection band is accurately tuned to the specified range of 1643.5nm to 1656.5nm.

Sharp Transition Edge: The transition region between the reflective and transmissive bands is extremely narrow (less than 2nm), effectively creating an all-pass zone.

Standardized Connector: Utilizes a standard connector design for ease of integration and connectivity.

FAQs of Bragg Grating Filter

FAQs of Bragg Grating Filter

  • Q
What is a bragg grating filter?
    A
A bragg grating filte is a type of optical filter that uses the principle of Bragg diffraction to selectively reflect or transmit light of specific wavelengths. It consists of periodic variations in the refractive index of a fiber or material, which act as a mirror for wavelengths that match the grating period.
  • Q
What is the typical bandwidth of fiber grating filters?
    A
The bandwidth of a fiber grating filters is determined by the width of the spectral response curve. Typical full-width at half-maximum (FWHM) values range from a few picometers to several nanometers, depending on the design requirements.
  • Q
Can I have a custom designed and sample order?
    A
We provide design service for all clients. MOQ of sample order is subject to the specific design.
  • Q
How long is your delivery time?
    A
5-10 days if the goods are in stock. 2-3 weeks if the goods are not in stock, mostly depends on quantity and production plan.
  • Q
What is your terms of payment?
    A
We accept T/T, L/C, etc, 30% Deposit and 70% before shipment. Small order is 100% of full price in advance.
