China FIBERFUTURE optical attenuators serve as critical components within fiber optic networks, designed to diminish the intensity of signals. They are indispensable when incoming signals at receivers are excessively powerful, potentially overwhelming the receiving hardware. Such scenarios might arise from mismatches between transceivers or media converters, or when converters are utilized for shorter distances than their intended operational range. They can also assess network robustness by systematically weakening signals until link failure, pinpointing safety margins.

 

Fiber optic attenuators have superior quality, utilizing doped fiber technology for signal reduction. For singlemode applications, our attenuators support a broad wavelength spectrum from 1250nm to 1600nm, accommodating standard 1310nm and 1550nm operations. With a maximum transmission capacity of one watt, we carry a variety of connector types: ST, SC, SC/APC, FC, FC/APC, LC, LC/APC, and MU. Custom orders for other connector types are welcome. Typically, we hold in stock attenuator values spanning 1dB to 25dB for these types.

 

While primarily deployed in singlemode networks due to higher laser power demands, we offer multimode attenuators for 50/125 and 62.5/125 fiber sizes upon request. As these are bespoke items, a minimum order quantity and an extended lead time apply.
