MT Patch Cords

MT Patch Cords

MT-MT patch cords and MT-FA patch cables are used in optical QSFP (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable) modules to connect the optical lens with external ports. They are designed to support OM2, OM3, and OM4 fibers, and their lengths are precisely calibrated to fit into tight spaces.

MT short patch cords are primarily utilized in parallel optical technology modules (such as QSFPs), connecting the internal optical lens to the external port to facilitate signal transmission within the optical module. Two types are available: MT-MT and MT-FA. We offer a wide range of MT short patch cable products with customizable transmission modes, fiber types, and connector types. These cables are known for their stable transmission, high reliability, and customization capabilities, making them suitable for optical modules, test equipment, medical equipment, and other applications.

High-Performance MTP/MPO Fiber Cable Assembly
We provide a comprehensive range of high-performance MTP/MPO fiber cable assemblies designed for high-density backplane and printed circuit board (PCB) applications in data and telecommunication systems. Leveraging single ferrule MT technology, our MTP/MPO fiber cable assemblies can support up to 24 fiber core connections per single ferrule.

Active Optical Cables Jumpers
Our active optical cable jumpers are specifically designed for optical transceiver module packages, such as 40G QSFP+SR4 and 100G-SR4. These cables are compatible with various installation environments and are easy to install between adapters and laser chips. Our connectors are 100% factory-tested and can meet your specific requirements.

FAQs of MT-MT and MT-FA Patch Cord

FAQs of MT-MT and MT-FA Patch Cord

  • Q
    What are MT-MT patch cords?
    A
MT-MT patch cords are fiber optic cables that use MT (Mechanical Transfer) ferrules on both ends to connect multiple fibers in a single connector. They are commonly used in high-density fiber optic networks to enable fast and efficient connections.
  • Q
    What are MT-FA patch cords?
    A
MT-FA patch cords are similar to MT-MT patch cords but feature an MT connector on one end and an FA (Fiber Array) connector on the other. These cords are designed for connecting devices with different types of connectors, often used in optical network testing or specialized equipment interfaces.
  • Q
How do MT-MT patch cords differ from standard patch cords?
    A
MT-MT patch cords utilize MT connectors, which can house multiple fibers (e.g., 12 or 24) in a single ferrule, unlike standard patch cords that usually have single fiber connectors like LC or SC. This allows for higher density connections, making them ideal for space-constrained environments.
  • Q
Are MT-MT and MT-FA patch cables compatible with MPO/MTP systems?
    A
Yes, MT connectors are the core component in MPO/MTP systems. MT-MT patch cables can be used within MPO/MTP systems, while MT-FA patch cables can be used when a conversion is needed between an MT and an FA connector.
  • Q
Are MT-MT and MT-FA patch cords customizable?
    A
Yes, these patch cords can be customized in terms of length, fiber count, and connector types to meet specific network requirements. Customization ensures that they fit seamlessly into your existing infrastructure.
