What Are The Requirements For The Laying and Installation of Duct Fiber optical cables?

What Is Duct Fiber Optic Cables?

Duct fiber optic cable is an optical cable installed directly in the duct (or conduit). Thanks to the protective duct, duct fiber optic cable has great protection for the optical fiber within it and there are no special requirements for optical cable sheathing. Duct fiber optic cables are made of optical fibers in loose tubes. All loose tubes are stranded along a dielectric FRP or steel wire central strength member in the inner sheath, sometimes it also comes with water-blocking materials. All duct fiber cables are constructed underground and are suitable for metropolitan. our main duct fiber optic cables include GYTA, GYTS, GYFTA, GYFTY, GYXTW, Etc.

(1) The position of the tube hole occupied by the duct optical cable can be preferentially selected near the appropriate position on both sides of the tube group. The hole positions occupied by the optical cables in each adjacent pipe section should be relatively consistent. When the hole position needs to be changed, the range of change should not be too large, and the transfer from one side of the pipe group to the other should be avoided.

(2) If it is laid in the pipe hole of the cement pipeline, the three plastic sub-pipes of different colors put in the pipe hole should be put in one time, and there should be no joints in the pipe section between the two holes. Sub-pipes not used in this phase of the project should be blocked with sub-pipe plugs.

(3) The reserved length of the optical cable for bending in each manhole is 0.5-1.0m, 10-15m/side for the joint, and 20m/side for the intra-office optical cable.

(4) The optical cable in the man (hand) hole should be fixed firmly, and the exposed part of the optical cable should be protected with a polyethylene corrugated pipe (or with a longitudinally planed plastic sub-pipe tailing). Immediately after laying the optical cable, signboards should be attached to the optical cable to avoid wrong identification.

(5) In order to prevent the sewage in the manhole from entering the cable inlet room, after the laying of the plastic sub-pipe and the optical cable is completed, the gap between the optical cable and the sub-pipe, and between the sub-pipe and the pipe hole needs to be waterproofed and sealed.
