1. Prepare the Fiber Optic Cable

Remove the Buffer Coating: After stripping the outer jacket, use the stripper again to remove the buffer coating from the fiber core. Be cautious not to damage the fiber itself.
Clean the Fiber: Wipe the fiber using a lint-free wipe or alcohol pad to remove any dirt or debris.


2. Cut the Fiber to Length

Use the fiber cleaver to cut the exposed fiber end to ensure a smooth, flat, and clean surface. A precise cut is critical for minimizing signal loss when the cable is connected.
Inspect the cut with a microscope to ensure there are no imperfections.


3. Prepare the Connector

Select the appropriate connector for the type of fiber optic cable you are using. The most common types are SC connectors, LC connectors, and ST connectors.
If necessary, insert a small amount of adhesive into the connector’s ferrule (the part that holds the fiber).


4. Insert the Optical Fiber into the Fiber Optic Fast Connector

Gently insert the prepared fiber into the connector’s ferrule. Make sure the fiber is positioned correctly and fully inserted into the connector.
