At present, there are two main types of ADSS optical cables: central tube structure and optical cable structure.

The optical cable core is filled with ointment, but when the ADSS is under a large span and a certain sag, due to the small resistance of the ointment, the optical cable core is easy to slide, and the sleeve part is easy to loosen. Therefore, the loose tube is fixed in the center to strengthen and dry the optical cable core. Excellent , but the process is somewhat difficult. The stranded structure is easy to obtain the extra length of the safety fiber, although the diameter and weight are slightly larger, it has more advantages in long-span applications.

 

According to the electric field strength of ADSS optical cable, it can be divided into AT protection type and standard PE sheath. The characteristics of ADSS optical cable are as follows:

(1) It is designed for power system. It is a self-supporting aerial fiber optic cable without any metal material in its structure;

(2) The overall insulation structure and high-voltage resistance index are beneficial to the construction and operation of power lines without being affected;
