Fiber Optical Specifications

The optical fiber within adheres to ITU G652D standards, making it suitable for high-speed data transmission. At 1310 nm, the maximum attenuation is ≤0.36 dB/km, while at 1550 nm, it reduces to ≤0.22 dB/km, demonstrating excellent signal integrity across different wavelengths. The dispersion characteristics are carefully controlled, with a zero-dispersion wavelength range of 1300 to 1324 nm, ensuring minimal signal distortion.


Moreover, the mode field diameter is consistent, measuring 9.2 ± 0.4 μm at 1310 nm and 10.4 ± 0.8 μm at 1550 nm, which is indicative of precise light confinement within the core. It also exhibits low polarization mode dispersion (PMD), with a maximum value of 0.2 ps/km^1/2 on the reel and a designed maximum value for the link of 0.08 ps/km^1/2, thus reducing the risk of signal degradation due to polarization effects.


In terms of geometrical characteristics, the cladding diameter is maintained at 125 ± 1 μm with less than 1% non-circularity, ensuring uniformity throughout the fiber. The fiber’s mechanical properties include a proof test of 0.69 GPa, indicating its strength against tensile forces. Additionally, the dynamic stress corrosion susceptibility parameter is set at ≥20, highlighting its resistance to environmental stresses.


Environmental characteristics are also noteworthy, with temperature-induced attenuation, dry heat-induced attenuation, water immersion-induced attenuation, and damp heat-induced attenuation all limited to ≤0.5 dB/km, ensuring the fiber's performance remains stable under varying conditions.

FTTH Drop Cable Specification

This indoor fiber drop cable is designed with a single core ITU G652D fiber, featuring a blue-colored coating for easy identification. The strength members consist of either two 0.5 mm FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) rods or two 0.45 mm steel wires, providing structural integrity. 


The outer jacket is made from LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) material, which is flame-retardant and produces minimal smoke and no toxic fumes in case of fire, enhancing safety in enclosed spaces. The jacket is white in color, aiding in visual identification and compliance with interior design aesthetics.


With a diameter of 2.0 H x 3.0 W, it is compact yet sturdy, weighing approximately 10 kg per kilometer. Its mechanical characteristics include short-term and long-term tension ratings of 200 N, indicating its resilience against pulling forces during installation. It can withstand significant crushing pressures, with short-term and long-term crush ratings of 2200 N/100mm and 1100 N/100mm respectively, protecting the internal components from compression damage.


For flexibility, the minimum bend radius is 60 mm dynamically and 30 mm statically, facilitating maneuverability during installation. The installation, operating, and storage temperature ranges are -20°C to +70°C, -40°C to +70°C, and -40°C to +70°C respectively, allowing the drop kabel to perform reliably across a wide range of temperatures commonly encountered indoors.
